Mr. Zahid Omarzai is
an Associate Attorney at RIAA Barker Gillette International Legal Services. He
is graduated from Law and Political Science faculty. He is currently member of
Afghanistan Bar Association and International Chambers of Commerce in
Afghanistan. He has competed in Willem C. Vis International Commercial
Arbitration Moot in Hong Kong and in pre-moot of the same in Bahrain, 2016.
Afterwards, he has coached several teams for the mentioned moot and pre-moot.
He has been managing Afghan teams along with his colleagues for the mentioned
moot since 2017. He has also served as an arbitrator in 15th Annual Willem C.
Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot in Hong Kong and in 8th Annual
pre-moot of the same in Bahrain, 2018. Moreover, he is part of a very few
attorneys working on enforcement of a foreign arbitral award in Afghanistan
which is the first of its kind in Afghanistan. Furthermore, he has also
participated in UN Youth Assembly which was held in UN HQ in New York, USA in
August 2017. Done extensive courses on International Human Rights, Civil
Responsibility, Commercial and Civil procedure. Obtained Certificate and
Diploma in English Language and Certificate in English for Law. Taken
international TOEFL and IELTS exams.
